UX/UI experience — IPM Group

UX/UI and SEO for La DH, La Libre and Logic-immo: designing, improving and outperforming.

IPM Group publishes two of the main French-speaking Belgian news brands and operates Logic-immo, one of Belgium’s reference real-estate websites. During my time in the group, I helped improve these sites in both UX and UI and led the design of a new platform dedicated to new-build real estate.

Context

News, real estate and a new platform: three contexts, one shared standard.

La DH and La Libre are two high-traffic news websites whose revenue largely relies on online advertising. Logic-immo is a major Belgian real-estate player, focused on connecting buyers, sellers and agencies. In both contexts, each visitor has direct value: traffic is not an abstract metric, it is central to the business model.

My scope covered UX and UI across these sites: audits, recommendations, mockups and component production. I also led the design of a new platform dedicated to new-build real estate, a product designed from end to end with its own journeys and conversion challenges.

IPM Group

A French-speaking Belgian publisher, IPM Group covers online news and real estate through several complementary sites sharing teams and a common technical infrastructure.

Role

UX, UI, SEO and product design across the IPM portfolio.

As an employee within the group, I had a cross-functional view of several sites with different challenges. My role combined UX analysis, UI production, SEO optimisation and the design of a new real-estate product, both strategic and operational work.

UX & UI Design

Production of mockups, components and templates for the group’s sites, with a strong UI dimension alongside UX analysis.

Responsive design

Analysis and recommendations to adapt the sites to mobile usage, dominant in news consumption and real-estate listings.

SEO & trafic organique

Structure and content recommendations to improve search engine rankings and generate more qualified traffic.

Platform design

End-to-end design of a new platform dedicated to new-build real estate: user journeys, templates, components and search experience.

Methodology

Targeted interventions on sites with very different logics.

News and real estate do not have the same journeys or objectives: one aims for fast information consumption, the other for search and conversion. The methodology adapted to each context while relying on the same UX fundamentals.

UX/UI audit of existing sites

Analysis of reading experience, navigation and visual interface quality on desktop and mobile: La DH, La Libre and Logic-immo.

Comparison with direct competitors, RTBF, RTL Info and Le Soir for news; Immoweb and Zimmo for real estate, to identify gaps and best practices.

For news, the challenge was readability, traffic and SEO. For Logic-immo, the priority was search experience and conversion. For the new-build platform, the challenge was to design a differentiated product from scratch with its own templates, journeys and components.

Outcome

For the news sites, UX/UI and SEO improvements helped La DH and La Libre outperform competitors in organic traffic, a directly measurable result tied to advertising revenue. On Logic-immo, UX interventions improved the search experience, and the new-build platform was designed and delivered as a product in its own right.

This experience allowed me to work on very different products, news, real-estate listings and new-build property, while taking on both UX and UI responsibilities. It is a combination I often bring to missions: the ability to think through the experience and translate it into interface design.
